When you purchase arrangementLab, payment is processed through Polar, our merchant of record. We do not store your credit card details on our servers. Polar handles all payment processing, tax collection, and data security in accordance with industry standards (PCI DSS compliant).

1.5 Device & Browser Information

We may collect information about the device and browser you use to access arrangementLab, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and device type. This information helps us optimize the platform for different devices and identify technical issues.

How We Use Your Information

AI & Your Content

3.1 Your Content is Private

Any arrangements, song structures, notes, lyrics, and creative materials you create using arrangementLab remain entirely your property. We do not use your Content for any purpose other than to provide you with the Service.

3.2 AI Training

Your Content is NOT used to train AI models. We do not use your musical ideas, arrangements, lyrics, or any personal Content to train, improve, or develop artificial intelligence systems. Your creative work remains private and confidential.

3.3 AI Suggestions

When you use the AI suggestion feature, we process your arrangement data temporarily to generate suggestions. These suggestions are generated in real-time and are not stored or used for any other purpose. The AI suggestions feature is powered by third-party AI services, but your Content is not retained by these services after the suggestion is generated.

3.4 Anonymized Usage Analytics

We may collect anonymized, non-identifying usage data about how the AI features are used (such as frequency of use or general feature popularity). This data cannot identify you or your specific Content and is used solely to improve the quality and relevance of our AI suggestions.

Data Storage & Security

4.1 Data Hosting

arrangementLab is hosted on Vercel, a secure cloud platform. Your data is stored on Vercel's servers with appropriate security measures in place. Vercel complies with industry-standard data protection practices.

4.2 Security Measures

We implement security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure authentication, and regular security monitoring to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, and destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4.3 Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you terminate your account, your Content will be available for export for 30 days, after which we may delete your data. Some usage analytics data may be retained in anonymized form for product improvement purposes.

4.4 Backup & Recovery

We maintain backups of our systems for disaster recovery and business continuity purposes. These backups are subject to the same security and privacy protections as our primary systems.

Third-Party Services

5.1 Polar (Payment Processing)

arrangementLab uses Polar as its merchant of record to process payments, handle tax compliance, and manage license key delivery. Polar collects and handles payment information in accordance with its own Privacy Policy and PCI DSS standards. We do not have access to your full payment information. 5.2 Formspree (Email Collection)

We use Formspree (form ID: mlgwjzlq) to collect email addresses for launch notifications. Formspree processes and stores email submissions in accordance with its privacy practices. 5.3 Vercel (Hosting)

arrangementLab is hosted on Vercel, which provides infrastructure and hosting services. Vercel processes data as a data processor on our behalf and complies with applicable data protection laws. Vercel's privacy practices are available in their privacy documentation.

5.4 Future Analytics

While we do not currently use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics), we may integrate analytics services in the future to better understand how users interact with our platform. If we implement analytics, we will provide notice and ensure such services respect your privacy. We will never allow analytics to track or identify your personal Content.

Cookies & Local Storage

6.1 Local Storage for Trial Tracking

arrangementLab uses browser localStorage to track your 14-day trial period. The key arrangementlab_trial_start stores the timestamp when your trial begins. This data is stored only in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers.

6.2 Session Cookies

We use session cookies to maintain your login status and provide a seamless user experience. These cookies expire when you close your browser or log out.

6.3 Cookie Control

You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you disable cookies, some features of arrangementLab may not function properly. Deleting your browser localStorage will reset your trial tracking.

Your Rights

7.1 Access Your Data

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you. You can view your account information and export your Content directly through your account dashboard at any time.

7.2 Correct Your Data

You can update your account information, email address, and other personal details through your account settings. If you need assistance updating your information, please contact us.

7.3 Delete Your Data

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data from our active systems. However, some data may be retained in anonymized form for analytics or legal compliance purposes.

7.4 Opt-Out of Communications

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails and non-essential communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails or updating your communication preferences in your account settings. You will continue to receive essential service notifications related to your account and subscription.

7.5 Data Portability

You can export your Content and arrangements at any time in standard formats compatible with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and music production software. This allows you to take your creative work with you.

7.6 Right to Be Forgotten

In accordance with applicable privacy laws, you can request the deletion of your personal data. After 30 days of account termination, your data will be permanently deleted from our systems (except for data retained for legal or compliance purposes).

Children's Privacy

arrangementLab is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete that information immediately.

For users between 13 and 18, we provide additional privacy protections and recommend that parents or guardians review this Privacy Policy with their children. If you are under 18, please obtain parental consent before providing personal information.
